Growth

You are not a growing thing,

Nor the one causing growth to occur.

There is no growth happening, actually.

But, only ever

This.

Growth is but a concept,

Requiring comparison, time, memory - mental energy;

You cannot experience growth,

Nor can the flower and tree.

It is only ego that personalises growth.

Look how I have changed!

Look how I have not!

Who is this self that you identify with?

A false self, you believe to have grown,

Or not grown enough.

Know yourself, now,

Not as an individual, growing, gaining, losing...

But as the limitless space in which what is, can exist - 

The smiling eye that sees the dove.

Instead of seeking growth,

Be what you are, now -

Love, love, love.
