By Your Side
Dear friend,
You need not apologise to me,
For I am not sorry for words and deeds,
Done or not done.
I see only you,
Divinely expressing,
Divinely forgetting,
Divinely remembering,
In perfect time, in perfect ways,
As I express, forget and remember,
By your side.
No expression of yours is condemned by me,
Although it might be by your mind,
When criticism clouds
Your beautiful light.
I do not despair when all you see is darkness,
For in these moments, I can be your light;
The space that brings you space,
The joy that brings you joy.
For then, we meet,
Together, as one,
Pleasing in each other’s free-ness,
Energising in each other’s lightness,
Laughing in each other’s likeness;
Delighting in the doings, beings and happenings
That we cherish,
But to which we are no longer attached.
Sorry, smorry, pooey, smooey!
Let’s go down to the pub,
Pop to a café,
Drive the country lanes,
Sit under a tree,
Be love with all that be…
And maybe have a wee under that tree,
If we can’t find a toilet.
Dear friend,
You need not apologise to me,
For I am not sorry for words and deeds,
Done or not done.
I see only you,
Divinely expressing,
Divinely forgetting,
Divinely remembering,
In perfect time, in perfect ways,
As I express, forget and remember,
By your side.
