Surrender it to "God"

David R. Hawkins, in his book, "I: Reality and Subjectivity", talks of the power of letting go, by stating the phrase: "I surrender this to God".
It appears, in my own experience, that stating the phrase when experiencing wanting / mental unrest equates to a state of relaxation. Upon stating, the mind appears placated, and a sense of knowing that the "issue" will be resolved (or already has been) comes about. This knowing is not a "knowing about" born of mind; it is not "positive thinking", hoping or believing, but a sense of peace born of absolute certainty.
In being free of mental noise, there is openness to see and receive assistance and support. In my experience, after surrendering, loving offerings come across my path and all that needs to be done is to embrace the help offered.
