Rising out of Disconnection

The disconnected state (that can be present for hours or days without wilful intervention) consists of feelings of apathy, seriousness, personal responsibility, a closed / low / heavy heart, and a desire to not be around happiness.
Rising out of this state requires will - a will to do what the ego resists - but what I - the real / higher I - knows will be beneficial.
Thinking is not always skilful when disconnected, as the mind is "attuned" to a low energy field and will attract low energy thoughts, although thinking of increasingly higher energy thoughts is an option. For example, remembering "this state is temporary" has been sufficient on some occasions to instantly dispel / disperse the cloud of lowness.
Dealing with the state energetically / physically is often effective, if there is sufficient will. "Do - don't think" can be a helpful phrase to recall when disconnected; don't wait to "feel like it" - just do it. The disconnected state can be exited upon doing the following with positive intent / enthusiasm:
Drawing light / energy up from the ground, up the spine, through the heart, and out through the top of the head. Then, drawing light / energy down from way above the head, through the heart, down the spine, out through the feet, through the ground.
Imagining the image / essence of someone who exists at a high vibration / is a loving, friendly presence.
Skipping, jumping, bringing the arms up and down, making funny noises / faces. The aim is to counter the ego's seriousness with silliness / ridiculousness.
